Circuit in a charming lodge

This 10-day tour takes you through contrasting natural and cultural spaces. We have also chosen to make you live the real Senegal by opting for a full day in the company of a Senegalese family. In the program ? Colors, smells, flavors ... All this in charming hotels throughout your stay. Lodges, guesthouses, rooms on stilts ... A nice mix that will make you live beautiful moments in the land of Teranga.

Day 1

Arrival in the Senegalese capital

You arrive at Dakar Airport and are met by one of our representatives and transferred to your hotel in the friendly Fann Hock district. This charming hotel where decoration rhymes with ecology was created by a French man in love with the continent. The elegantly Saint-Louisian-style hotel opted for an ethical and ecological approach: new buildings made of compressed earth bricks and furniture and decorative elements designed by African craftsmen and artists, mostly Senegalese. This is a good start to your stay!

Dinner and overnight at the hotel

Day 2

From Lac Rose to the Lompoul Desert

Breakfast then meeting with the guide who will accompany you during this journey of discovery of Senegal. In the morning, departure for the Pink Lake and drive in the car to attend the extraction of salt by means of peaks, a windfall which supports many families of the surrounding villages.

Located a few hundred meters from the ocean, in the heart of a dune and bush landscape, Lac Rose gets its color from a tiny algae which secretes a red pigment in an attempt to counter the significant salinity of its waters. (300gr / liter, 2nd most salty water after the Dead Sea). After this walking tour with your guide, free lunch by the lake then departure for the Lompoul desert.

We can proudly tell you that you are arriving in the most beautiful desert of Senegal, in an incredible dune landscape! To make this unexpected step even more beautiful, you are staying in a small camp that recreates a nomadic, Bedouin atmosphere, with comfortable and charming tents. They were swarmed by the trade winds, nesting on the shoulder of the fine sand dunes. An invitation to dream, the Lompoul camp is a unique site and perfectly integrated into its environment.

Cradled in the sound of the waves, the Atlantic Ocean is only a stone's throw away, and protected by the starry vault, the desert murmurs its secrets to who knows how to listen to it.

Breakfast and dinner included. Free lunch and overnight in camp

Day 3

Langue de Barbarie National Park

After breakfast, enjoy the tranquility of the desert as you see fit! You can for example take a walk in the dunes, on foot or on the back of a camel (additional charge). Then towards the north of the country, in the village of Sowène between Lompoul and Saint-Louis. Visit along the way to villages and meet women around the cultivation of onion gardens. An opportunity to discuss with them their cultivation methods and the way they market their products.
